Below are the various documents available to bidders for the first-round solicitation of 800 MWs of front-of-the-meter transmission connected energy storage under the Maryland Next Generation Energy Act.
Maryland HB 1532 Relief Act
The Maryland HB 1532 Relief Act modified the 2025 Maryland Next Generation Energy Act to allow more than 800 MWs to be selected per Round, if the Commission determines the Applications are cost-effective and adequately support the goals under the Next Generation Energy Act. Additionally, projects interconnected within the State that have been assigned a project identifier in the PJM interconnection process in response to a request for new service are eligible to participate.

Issuance of Draft Request for Application: Comments due December 11, 2025
This RFA is being issued to secure stakeholder feedback in an effort to ensure that the RFA best serves the goals of the NGEA. We request comments on the draft RFA by December 11th to allow time for the issuance of the final RFA on or before January 1, 2026.
